September 9...

My 3rd entry here… I’m going to try and upload a few layouts this time!  I guess I have a name for my blog - Snapshots of My Life - not a great title, but I’m tired of trying to come up with something else I like better!  My parents are here this weekend - they leave tomorrow.  It was a short visit but I’m glad they were able to make it!

I’m doing the Elsie 8-Week Challenge at Willow Traders - I was able to use a layout that I had started for the September kit at Scrapbook Sussies!  I wasn’t sure about the layout - it seems bare to me - but I’ve gotten lots of great comments about it!

This is Sadie - quite awhile ago!  She was “surfing” on a photo box (next page - you’ll have to check out SS’s September gallery!) so I cut out the surfboards from the Artic Frog paper.  I think it was Elsie’s challenge #24 - using white cardstock as the background!

Tomorrow (or Monday) is the big announcement at Creating Pages for the new BRING IT ON! Scrappin’ Duel.  We also have our DT announcement coming up this week.  I need to sit down and really look at all the awesome applications!

I haven’t had a chance yet to do my {self exposed} entry yet for CHS - I’ll be working on that and using the October kit this week!  If all goes well, I’ll put up a layout or two this week!  I’ve already printed some pictures and I may try to scrap tonight while we’re watching a movie…  or not!

Day 2

Well, I’m back at it!  We were busy today and I didn’t get much time to scrap at all - I am finishing a layout for Scrapbook Sussies, but it still needs journalling.  Had to start and finish a layout tonight for Dora’s birthday at Scrapstreet.  I was supposed to have it in the mail by the first.  The topic - What Scrapstreet Means to me…  it’s not a great layout, but I’m sure she will love getting an entire scrapbook of layouts from people at her site!

Was working with my cohort in the big BRING IT ON! Scrappin’ Duel today - we started getting some of the details down in writing!  Let me just say, it will be one awesome contest!  If you love both creating and participating in challenges, you should head on over to Creating Pages before the end of the month!

Still playing with the blog - once I come up with a name that I like, I’ll post it on my signatures!  Also have to figure out what size layouts work for uploading - so far they don’t look so well!  But it’s too late for me tonight and I am off to bed!

Welcome to My Website

Hello! I’m finally bloggin’…. or trying to get it set up anyways! This is mostly going to be just about my scrappin’ life - it’s a big part of my life right now! I’m lucky enough to be on 2 great kit design teams (Scrapbook Sussies  and Creative Hearts Studio) and a coordinator for a 3rd (Creating Pages).  There are lots of awesome things happening at each site!

Scrapbook Sussies was the New Kit of the Month at Willow Traders this last month.  The kits are awesome!  I can easily complete 4 double page layouts with these kits and have some paper left over!

Creative Hearts Studios is starting a new contest on the 6th of this month - {self exposed} - and they are having lots of little contests during this time - for example, they just did a contest for the 20th person that registered!  The kits are absolutely wonderful to work with - I just received my October kit and I can’t wait to start working with it!

Creating Pages - what can I say!  We’ve got a design team call going on right now (until the 8th), we’ve got a great online crop coming up September 22 and 23 in the evenings, and we have a super never-before-seen online contest between CP and another scrapping website coming up starting in October!

Another big thing - my first official publishing is out in print!  Creating Keepsakes picked up one of my layouts for the October Becky Higgins sketch - unfortunately it wasn’t one of the big layouts, but it is in the magazine!  It’s on page 48 and where it shows that there are more layouts online.  Here’s a picture of the page: 

OK, it’s really small, but it’s there, and so is MY NAME!  It’s definitely a start! 

Now I’m off to see how this works - my first entry is more or less done.
